About the artist and his work
Mitch Glassman is a material and process driven artist whose field of vision is defined by the emergent visual experience of the nature of language; and the belief that deconstruction is the medium of being. His current works incorporating industrial polymer, inks, and acrylic follow a dense path of mark making, shifting light, and reflection.
Glassman has studied and traveled widely in China, Tibet, Middle East, Chile, Russia, and Europe.
His works have been exhibited nationally and internationally and are a part of private and public collections including The University of Michigan, Fidelity Investments, Mass General Hospital, DG Capital, The Jonathan and Barbara Lee Collection, Palazzo Michiel Beriendis, Venice, Italy and numerous commercial developments. Mitch has maintained a studio practice in Boston’s South End for over 20 years as well as in Truro, MA.
